After studying agronomy, he returned in 1998 to lead the family’s coffee production into a new era. Today, he continues to run the farms with his family while constantly developing both quality and farming methods.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eThe coffee comes from Wicho’s San Lorenzo farm in Cobán and grows at 1,400 metres above sea level. Venecia is an unusual natural mutation of Bourbon that was selected to thrive in rainy growing regions. This makes the variety particularly interesting in Cobán’s cool and humid climate. The coffee is washed and roasted for espresso, where milk chocolate and macadamia create a creamy foundation while blackberry and brown sugar bring fruit and depth.\u003cbr\u003e\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eSince 2021, Wicho has been moving his farms towards more natural and regenerative farming methods. In a small laboratory, he develops his own natural solutions to strengthen the coffee trees and make them more resistant.
