Recipe: Espresso Tonic

For those who brew espresso at home, this is the perfect drink! It's a refreshing combination of bold espresso and bubbly tonic, perfect as a cooling beverage or even as an after dinner drink.

  • 4-5 cl espresso
  • 15 cl tonic
  • Ice for serving
  • Prepare a double shot of espresso and let it cool slightly.
  • Fill a glass with ice.
  • Add tonic to the glass.
  • Pour the espresso into the glass slowly - tonic tends to react to the espresso and may foam up.
  • Twist a lemon peel and rub along the rim to release all the flavour and aromas, then use for decoration!
